Analysis of Plantar Fasciitis in Biomedicine
This course is approved by NCBAHM/NCCAOM (AOM/BIO), California (Category 1), Florida (Biomedical Sciences), Texas (1 Bio) and British Columbia (Canada)
This course examines the biomedical mechanisms underlying myofascial adhesions and their clinical application in plantar fasciitis. It explores the pathophysiology of chronic soft tissue injury, with a focus on cellular processes involved in fascial fibrosis and adhesion formation. The course analyzes the interrelationship between the plantar fascia, lower-limb biomechanics, and the meridian system from an integrative perspective. It also presents the mechanism by which acupuncture techniques, including the round-sharp needle and floating needling methods, relieve plantar fasciitis by releasing myofascial adhesions.
